Naim has announced that its Uniti range of all-in-one players will now feature Bluetooth (aptX) and Spotify Connect. Naim’s of network players will also feature the new Spotify Connect functionality but not Bluetooth.
The new Bluetooth module features the aptX codec for quality audio playback. Spotify Connect gives access to millions of songs from the world’s most popular streaming service. With a Spotify Premium subscription users can control Spotify and playback wirelessly, direct from their Uniti or network player. The Naim product streams directly from Spotify’s servers, preserving the battery life of the control device, which is free to open other apps and make calls without interrupting the music.
Upgrades for existing customers
As part of Naim’s commitment to support existing customers and continually improve their products, Naim will make Spotify Connect available as a free software update for streaming product owners. More details on the update will follow in due course.
