Cambridge BT aptX HD turntable for less

CA-Alva-ST-Lifestyle

The Cambridge Audio Alva ST turntable will be on sale in time for Record Store Day’s June Drop. The new Alva ST (£849, $999) is a new belt-driven Bluetooth turntable that like Cambridge’s Alva TT (the world’s first aptX HD Bluetooth turntable, it says here) was designed and engineered in London. Fear not it has regular sockets for a wired connection to an amplifier if good sound quality is the goal.

Key features
Bluetooth aptX HD – wireless streaming to compatible amplifiers, headphones and speakers.
Supports high-res streaming up to 24-bit/48kHz.
Belt-drive design with electronic speed control.
New tonearm with detachable headshell.
Built-in phono stage based on the Alva Duo.
Pre-installed Audio Technica moving magnet cartridge.
Die-cast aluminium platter, CNC milled with a rubber mat.
