New power supplies and grounding box from Germany’s Clearaudio.
In a constant quest to perfect vinyl listening, German analogue audio specialist Clearaudio announces three new power solutions, designed to significantly improve turntable sound quality. The Professional Power 12V and Professional Power 24V are a pair of turntable power supply upgrades, while the Terra Grounding Box aims to eliminate ground loops and electromagnetic interference.
Clearaudio Terra
Electronic devices in the home can generate unwanted high-frequency interference that impacts sound quality. Often, the source of annoying hums lies in faulty or missing grounding within a hi-fi setup. This is where the new Clearaudio Terra Grounding Box comes in; acting as a central connection point that can reliably eliminates ground loops.
Terra’s anodised aluminium casing is filled with a special type of sand that dampens vibrations and electromagnetic interference, ensuring pure sound quality. A plug connected solely to the protective earth ensures that grounding occurs via the socket, without a direct connection to the mains power. This provides additional safety and prevents unwanted interference.
The rear of the Terra Grounding Box offers three connections for direct grounding (grounded) and three additional connections with potential difference (ground lifted), allowing you to tailor the setup to your specific needs. Three high-quality grounding cables are included in the package, so you can get started right away.

Professional Power upgrades
The new Clearaudio Professional Power 12V and Professional 24V are transformer-based , stabilised power supplies; notable upgrades to the standard designs supplied with the brands’ turntables and bridging the price/performance gap with the Clearaudio’s flagship Smart Power range.
The Professional Power 12V (SRP: £540/€590/$800) is designed to partner Clearaudio’s Concept and Performance DC turntables, while the Professional Power 24V (SRP: £900/€990/$1200) is ideal for the Innovation and Ovation models.
Both designs feature professional-grade components and a resonance-optimised transformer to ensure no mechanical interference is transferred. They provide improved filtering, cleaner power and increased ‘headroom’ – driving smoother turntable motor performance and extended reserves. The resulting improvements in sound quality are significant.
