Coppice Audio is proud to unveil the Modular BG, our first-ever open-baffle loudspeaker system, designed to bring immersive, full-range performance into a more flexible and affordable format without compromising the musical integrity we’re known for.

At the heart of the Modular BG is an open-baffle midrange section, offered with a choice of Lowther’s exceptional CM45CP or PM65CP drivers, delivering immediacy, nuance, and tonal purity in a way that only open-baffle designs can.

The system is fully modular and configurable. Start with a single bass module, or expand to a dual-module setup for greater low-frequency extension and room-filling scale. Each bass unit includes two interchangeable ports — one tuned to 30Hz for punch and drive, and another at 27Hz for deeper, more extended response.

In a first for Coppice, the Modular BG is also our most accessible design yet, built from a blend of plywood cabinetry with solid wood baffles, offering an entry point into high-end performance without sacrificing craftsmanship or soundstage.

This speaker represents a big step forward for us. Our first open-baffle design has been in development for years, and it captures everything we value: clarity, natural tone, and emotional engagement — now in a system that adapts to your space and evolves with your system.

The Modular BG will make its public debut at the North West Audio Show on June 21–22. This launch also marks the unveiling of our new website, with more ways to explore the Modular BG and what sets Coppice Audio apart. Prices for Modular BG start at £6,653 for a single bass module, CM45 Lowther and internal crossover and £9,974 for twin bass modules, CM45 and external crossover. Solid wood options are available up to £14,874.
