Cyrus Audio will be hosting a live-stream as part of their “Virtual Vinyl Day.” All are welcome to watch on Cyrus’ YouTube channel from 11:00 – 12:30 BST on Saturday, April 18th – RSVP here. The programme will include a number of audio professionals talking about their appreciation of vinyl, music, and Cyrus products.
The online event will feature top recording engineers and luminaries of the hi-fi world, who will discuss their favourite vinyl albums and what makes them important. Featured guests include audio engineers Stuart Hawkes (Amy Winehouse, Ed Sheeran) and David Baron (Lenny Kravitz, Jade Bird). We’ll also hear from Peter Thomas (co-founder, PMC Loudspeakers), Bob Surgeoner (founder, Neat Acoustics), and Conrad Mas (founder, Avid HiFi). In addition, Cyrus’ own team of award-winning engineers and senior staff members will participate alongside Jon Tolley of Banquet Records.
Bringing it all together, Simon Freethy (MD Cyrus Audio), will hold live Q&A discussions and viewers will have the opportunity to enter a competition to win a Cyrus ONE Cast (with built-in phono stage for any turntable). Commenting on the announcement, Freethy adds, “With so many people trapped indoors, and turning to their music collections for entertainment, we thought we could bring that community together to share their love and enthusiasm for vinyl records. It began as an idea but has turned into something quite special. I cannot believe the number of great people who have offered to contribute.”
