The very first Dynavector 10X cartridge was launched in 1978. At the time, it made a sensational debut by achieving a high output level—something previously considered difficult for moving coil (MC) cartridges. Thanks to its ease of use and excellent performance, the 10X series has since become a beloved high-performance entry model for many customers
Over the course of nearly half a century, the 10X has undergone a number of refinements and improvements, eventually evolving into the 10X5 Mk.II. Now, we are proud to announce the latest chapter in this legacy: the new 10XA (£649), reborn with cutting-edge Specially Annealed Magnetic Circuit technology.
Following in the footsteps of last year’s highly acclaimed XX-2A and 20X2A, the 10XA benefits from the same advanced magnetic annealing process. This results in a remarkable leap in sound quality—one that clearly surpasses the expectations for an entry-level model.
Exchanges and price changes
Existing 10X users will be eligible for a special exchange price when upgrading to the new 10XA.
The 10X5 MkII continues in production until next year at a reduced price of £549. The old 20X-2H/L discount prices have been revised slightly upwards. (£699 each) Supply of existing stock is near the end. We have also reduced the 20X2A price to £899.
