Flexson’s VinylPlay digital turntable has been selected by the New York Museum of Modern Art to appear in the NYCxDesign 2015 London Tech City collection, celebrating the best and brightest in British technology. VinylPlay will be on sale in MoMA Design Store outlets during New York Design Week from May 15th until the end of June.
Flexson’s London-based design team created VinylPlay to bridge the gap between complex, audiophile turntables and poor-quality digital decks. The unique design, precision-made in the UK (by Rega if its similarity to the RP1 is anything to go by) claims to combine true hi-fi quality with plug-and-play usability. “VinylPlay is a truly British reboot of the record player; for our design to be recognised by the MoMA Design Store is a real honour,” says Tony Jones, Flexson business manager and lead product designer.
