Josef W. Manger

Joseph-Manger

With great sadness we announce the death of Josef W. Manger, the founder of Manger Audio. His journey began more than 40 years ago when he was unsatisfied with the way traditional loudspeakers sounded. He invested endless hours, weeks, months and many years to find a better way to a more natural audio reproduction. His consistent dedication to this area eventually led to the Manger Sound Transducer (below). Up until his death, Mr. Manger was an avid thinker and came up with even more solutions to the problems in audio technology. Throughout his lifetime he was awarded 40 patents and received the renowned Diesel Medal in 1982, one of the highest awards for outstanding achievements in engineering.
His daughter Daniela Manger has been leading the company for many years and continues to not only share her father's passion for technology and natural audio reproduction, but also strive to grow the company's vision and product line, solidifying Manger Audio and its products worldwide as a high end audio brand.
Josef W. Manger died on October 27th, 2016 at the age of 87.
