Métronome have announced DSS 2, a second generation streamer and network player, with wi-fi and DSD up to 256. DSS 2 is small in sized in order to be easily to instegrated in all systems (25x25x7cm = 9.8×9.8×2.8 in), and retains the DSS housing with a new grey colour on the front panel and adds essential feature.
Even though 100% of the electronics and software are new, DSS 2 keeps the stability of its plug-and-play function capacity and is MQA compatible. DSS 2 is UPnP and DLNA certified, usable with all player apps under those protocols; the recommended app being mConnect Control. It is also Roon Ready, Audirvāna compatible and Airplay 1 and Airplay 2 certified.
