Rega have unveiled this year’s Record Store Day special edition. This is a variant on the Planar 1 Plus with Carbon cartridge, built in phono stage and black graphics on a gloss white plinth. Limited to 500 units and only available in the UK the RSD19 turntable has a distinctive custom printed mat and a retail price of £299, that’s £30 less than a regular Planar 1 Plus. The full list of RSD 2019 releases makes tempting reading but make sure you get a decent turntable before ruining your precious vinyl on a cheapie.
