Stack Audio is pleased to announce the new Smooth-LAN Regenerator, an advanced and powerful digital network device that joins the original Smooth-LAN Network Filter in our expanding range of hi-fi accessories.
Designed and manufactured by Stack Audio in the UK, the Smooth-LAN Regenerator creates the optimal environment for high-fidelity music streaming by filtering, regenerating, and re-clocking the network signal.
The Regenerator features advanced isolation, optimized grounding, precision clocking and a low-noise power supply, to ensure a pure digital network signal for streamers and music players.
It is designed to be used on its own with a single network player and features a single pair of input and output ports to avoid the unnecessary network interference and cross- talk that can be generated by multiport switches.
Working at 100Mbps (which is sufficient for high-res music streaming) ensures effective filtering without degrading the digital signal. The Regenerator utilises dual passive filtering and triple active re-clocking to deliver an ultra-clean, noise-free connection for superior audio performance.
Compartmentalised isolation
The Smooth-LAN Regenerator’s machined aluminium case acts as an RF shield, while compartmentalized internal design isolates circuits to minimize cross-talk. Gold-plated grounding paths further reduce noise, ensuring pristine audio fidelity.
Ultra low-noise power supply
The Smooth-LAN Regenerator features a custom power supply with multi-stage filtering and active regulation for stable, ultra-low noise performance. Each circuit block has an independent power supply to prevent interference, with the clock supply especially isolated to reduce phase noise and jitter.
Multi-stage filtering
The Smooth-LAN Regenerator combines dual-layer passive filtering with three cascaded active jitter attenuation stages that resynchronize the data to a high-precision, low- phase-noise internal master clock. The master clock is housed in its own isolated cavity, shielded against thermal fluctuations and EMI.
Premium Cable for Maximum Signal Integrity Supplied as standard, a high-quality oxygen-free copper (OFC) CAT7 cable with individual shielding ensures minimal noise interference for connecting the Regenerator to the network player.
