Kevin Fiske was first a newspaper reporter and then, for 30 years, a partner in a technology communications consultancy specialising in business software, grid-scale electricity storage and telecommunications.
He has been in love with live music since the age of eight when he attended a concert at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon. For Kevin, audio is a means to an end, rather than the end in itself. When evaluating new audio products, Kevin listens for the four pillars that support live music: dynamic agility; dynamic expression or power; tonal veracity and density, and, lastly, timing.
He finds few products achieve a balanced and generous measure of these critical qualities, and when he finds one that does, he likes to write about it.
