Astell & Kern Luna earphones
Astell & Kern has officially launched its latest earphone model, Luna – showcasing the brand’s philosophy of combining technical precision and sophisticated design to deliver exceptional sound.
Luna is the third product in Astell & Kern’s IEM series, following the AK Zero1 and AK Zero 2. Meticulously crafted in Japan, Luna is a single-driver, planar-magnetic design, encased in a smooth titanium housing engineered with both durability and wearability in mind.
Luna’s elegant exterior – inspired by the curves of the moon – is not only crafted for lasting comfort, but also precisely engineered to optimise the acoustic flow from the newly developed Katabiki (片響) driver.
Co-developed with Madoo, Katabiki(片響) features a unique, unipolar magnetic circuit, which uses a powerful single magnet and dual ring-shape yoke to achieve superlative control. The diaphragm housing is CNC-machined aluminium, while an ultra-thin, lightweight film with a printed aluminium pattern dramatically reduces the diaphragm’s weight.
These elements allow Katabiki (片響) to deliver outstanding response speed, exceptional resolution, and natural resonance characteristics, faithfully reproducing even the most delicate details of music.
To maximise the driver’s performance, Luna’s Silver-Coated OCC and Copper OCC Cable is meticulously engineered using a blend of high-purity silver plating and copper. This precise combination allows for highly detailed and accurate sound reproduction. Every connector (2 pin; 4mm) is finished with aluminum, adding a touch of refinement and premium quality to the overall design.
In typical Astell & Kern style, Luna comes beautifully packaged with an array of accessories, including seven different ear tip options plus a carry case.
