At the High End event in Munich today, German brand Mutec pre-announces the launch of the Astralius. This state-of-the-art re-clocking digital/analogue converter combines dual-mono analogue conversion with Mutec’s Revive re-clocking algorithm, and aims to take digital music to a new level of precision and musicality.

The Astralius builds upon the success of the MC3+ series and sets new standards in digital audio reproduction. Developed and manufactured in Germany, it reflects 30 years of experience in high-performance signal processing and ultra-low noise clocking technology.

“With the Astralius, we demonstrate what is possible in the world of D/A conversion. We combine our leading 1G-Clock Technology and Revive re-clockingAlgorithm with a high-end analogue section to deliver an extraordinary listening experience for music lovers and professionals,” says Christian Peters, Managing Director of Mutec. “The combination of top-tier technology and audiophile design makes the Astralius an essential addition for every discerning music enthusiast.”

Highlights
The Astralius employs Mutec’s 1G-Clock Technology and the Revive re-clockingAlgorithm to eliminate jitter and optimize signal performance. The emphasis: exceptional sound fidelity that elevates digital music to an entirely new level.

Dual-Mono Architecture: One ESS Sabre D/A converter per channel for maximum resolution and dynamics 1G-Clock Technology and Revive re-clocking algorithm: minimizes jitter by re-clocking the audio signal, significantly improving the source signal’s integrity 10 MHz reference clock input: enables synchronization with external clock generators such as the Mutec REF10 and REF10 SE120, further reducing jitter from the source signal

Connectivity
The Astralius offers eight digital inputs, including USB, AES/EBU, S/P-DIF (optical/coaxial) and I²S via HDMI and RJ45. This range of connectivity options enables seamless integration into any digital setup, whether for studio or hi-fi systems. With its high-quality analogue section, the Astralius delivers precise and balanced sound reproduction. The integrated headphone amplifier with its own volume control and remote control offers flexibility to enjoy music with the highest precision and detail directly through headphones.

The official market launch is scheduled for Fall 2025.
