Atoll Evo CD player range
Normandy-based Atoll Electronique have announced their new Evolution range of CD players. All players have a new transport mechanism from Teac with improved disc reading and error correction and all power supplies have been upgraded from the previous Signature models. A new 1.6 VA mains transformer reduces power consumption in standby.
The CD50 Evo has eight regulated power supplies and the CD80, CD100 and CD200 have ten to improve the stability of the digital and output stages. The CD50 and CD80 also have new PCM DACs and all Evo models now feature 12v trigger outputs.
Atoll Electronique was founded in 1997 by brothers Stéphane and Emmanuel Debreuil, and all products are made in their own factory in Brecey, Normandy. A recent extension to the premises has meant increased production capacity and warehousing.
The Evolution players will be available from mid-October and Atoll is distributed in the UK by Replay Audio Distribution.
