Avid UK availability transformed with Richer Sounds deal
Avid has transformed the availability of its British-made hi-fi equipment in the UK, following a landmark deal with retail giant Richer Sounds. The founder-owned and run Cambridgeshire-based manufacturer has teamed up with Richer Sounds to offer its range (excludes flagship Reference range) online via the retailer’s website (or telesales), for delivery to anywhere in mainland UK, including any of its 50 shops nationwide.
The deal means it has never been easier for music lovers to access and buy Avid’s range of hand-made turntables, tonearms and cartridges, plus precision-engineered amplifiers, loudspeakers, cables and accessories.
In addition, several Richer Sounds stores, including Holborn, Manchester, Newcastle and Southampton, will have the facility to demonstrate Avid’s acclaimed entry-level Ingenium plug & play turntable (below) in-store. Plus, until 25 April 2024, Ingenium buyers can receive a free Avid Platform (support platform, worth £250) when using a voucher code online, in store or via telesales.
Avid famously designs and builds virtually every component itself at its Huntingdon factory, using high-precision CNC machines set to exacting tolerances, with final hand assembly undertaken by a passionate team of experienced technicians.
Avid is one of very few audio companies to offer an entirely synergistic system from source to loudspeaker, right down to carefully matched cables and even equipment supports.
