Cambridge Audio, the British audio company known for its music-first philosophy and award-winning products, introduces MSX, a considered refresh of the much-loved Minx speaker range. A modular speaker system for modern homes and shared spaces – delivering real stereo and surround sound without dominating your room.

MSX is Minx reborn to bring the range in line with Cambridge’s modern naming conventions and more refined finishes, without losing anything that made Minx so distinctive: ultra-small speakers, wide dispersion, and a sound that feels far bigger than it looks.

Along with the new name and refreshed Cambridge branding, all models are now finished in matt-black or matt-white colourways, for a contemporary, design-led look.

The range includes the MSX10 and MSX20 satellite speakers, alongside the MSX Sub 200 and MSX Sub 300 compact yet powerful subwoofers. Together, they form a flexible, modular system that adapts easily from intimate stereo music listening to full cinematic immersion, so your system can grow with your space and your listening habits.

Small cabinets, advanced engineering

At the heart of MSX is our Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) technology. By combining dynamic drive unit performance with bending-wave dispersion from a single advanced driver, BMR creates an open, cohesive sound with exceptionally wide dispersion. The result is a natural, room-filling presentation that sounds balanced and engaging wherever you’re sitting, without a single sweet spot.

MSX10 features the 4th-generation BMR driver, refined for improved efficiency, extended treble response and smoother integration across frequencies. Measuring just 8cm2 it delivers clarity and presence that defies its size.

MSX20 builds on this foundation, pairing the same BMR driver with a custom-designed dedicated woofer. This adds greater depth, control and dynamic range, making it ideal for larger spaces or listeners who want their music to carry more weight and scale.

Powerful bass, perfectly controlled

Low frequencies are handled by MSX Sub 200 and MSX Sub 300, two compact subwoofers designed to deliver depth and authority without overwhelming the room. Both use forward-firing drivers, high-efficiency Auxiliary Bass Radiators (ABRs) and precision Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to maintain tight control and musical accuracy, even at higher volumes.

MSX Sub 200 combines a 200-watt amplifier with a 6.5-inch active woofer and dual ABRs, achieving impressive depth from one of the smallest active subwoofer designs available.

MSX Sub 300 steps things up, with a 300-watt amplifier, an 8-inch active woofer and a slightly larger cabinet, bringing even greater scale, impact and presence to music and movies alike.

Clean lines, timeless finishes

Not every home welcomes large speakers. MSX is crafted for rooms where aesthetics matter as much as performance.

The new matt-black and matt-white finishes are discreet, durable, refined and easily blended into any home, whether your MSX speakers are placed on a shelf or a wall.

High-quality speaker terminals ensure easy connection to any amplifier or AV receiver, including support for 4mm banana plugs – no proprietary cabling and no compromises. Each satellite can be wall-mounted or placed on furniture as standard, with optional pivoting wall mounts and table stands available.

Compact, powerful and beautifully controlled, MSX builds on the legacy of MINX, proving that great sound doesn’t need to shout to be heard. It’s designed to bring you closer to the music, wherever and however you listen.

Cambridge Audio MSX range will be available from April 2026. The Cambridge Audio MSX10 will have a suggested retail price of £79/€99/$99 each, MSX20 SRP is £99/€119/$129 each, MSX Sub 200 SRP is £299/€399/$399, and MSX Sub 300 SRP is £399/€499/$499.
