The E-Glo II stands out with its all-tube – or ‘valve’ – design, incorporating four ECC83s and two ECC88s. Widely regarded by audiophiles for their exceptional performance, these tubes offer easy replacement options and the flexibility to experiment with different tube types.

The E-Glo II ensures peak performance with a fully balanced input stage featuring a Lundahl LL1932 step-up transformer. Offering 45dB of gain, the LL1932 boosts output and audio quality. Its split, entirely passive equalisation stage enhances efficiency, putting less pressure on the valves, resulting in low-noise output and more gain options than typically achievable with pure valve phono stages.

Premium components, such as Mundorf output and WIMA capacitors, further elevate performance. The E-Glo II offers adjustable capacitance loading for moving-magnet cartridges and continuous resistance adjustment for moving-coil cartridges, making it compatible with many setups.

For quiet operation, the E-Glo II uses an external power supply with a custom toroid transformer, which is double-shielded to prevent interference and ensure clean power. The design also includes noise-reducing resistors and high-quality capacitors to isolate the phono stage from electromagnetic disruptions further.

Visually, the E-Glo II is as stunning as it is functional. The maker houses the tubes in a sleek chassis with heat sinks that echo the design of a reel-to-reel tape deck. The option to select the colour of the LED lights illuminating the valves adds an individual touch. Front-mounted switches allow for easy adjustments to settings, so users can fine-tune their setup without needing to open the unit.

The E.A.T. E-Glo II combines exceptional sound quality with a striking design, making it an ideal choice for audiophiles and design enthusiasts alike. Priced at £7,999.00, it is available now in the UK.
