Vivid Giya Cu
Vivid Audio, the South African and British-based loudspeaker company well-known for its groundbreaking designs, is proud to announce the revised Vivid Audio Giya Cu (Copper). The Vivid Audio Giya Cu retains the iconic looks of the Giya series in an updated (modernized) enclosure which is lighter, stiffer and smoother. In the Giya G3 Cu and Giya G4 Cu models the tapered tubes are now contained within the main enclosure through the use of re-entrant absorbers resulting in a simpler line in keeping with that of Giya G2 and Giya G1 Spirit.
The Vivid Audio Giya Cu range incorporates copper-capped upper and lower midrange drivers which were first developed for our flagship Vivid Audio Moya M1. While the use of radially polarized magnet systems in all Vivid products has long been recognized as an effective means of delivering exceptionally low-distortion uncompressed sound, the addition of the copper caps to our in-house produced drivers lowers the 2nd and 3rd harmonic distortion, the latter by a very significant 20 dB, resulting in not only a more palpable soundstage and overall cleaner midrange, but also a subjective improvement in the bass response.
Key points of the new design:
Copper capped midrange drivers
Lighter, stiffer and smoother cabinet
Moya Style individual grilles
Re-designed crossover
Easy access loudspeaker terminals
