Kanto Audio launches Ren in UK via Peter Tyson
The entry price of full fat hi-fi just dropped – get a pair of hi-fi speakers for £599, no amplifier required. Today, Kanto Audio launch the long awaited Kanto Ren speaker system in the UK as a Peter Tyson exclusive.
Offering a blend of room filling hi-fi sound, the Ren also allows simple connection of a turntable, TV or smartphone thanks to Bluetooth 5.3 and HDMI ARC. USB-C and optical connections also mean that studio quality high-res sound at 24 bit/192khz is available out of the box.
The HDMI ARC (CEC) input means the speakers wake up as your TV or games console does, offering a true stereo alternative to a soundbar to enjoy your favourite TV shows, movies and games on a epic scale. Movie fans can also add a Kanto SUB8 subwoofer for larger rooms.
“We are really excited to launch our latest active stereo speaker system, Ren — our first product to feature support for HDMI ARC. We’re confident Ren delivers a truly immersive audio experience, combining the superior sound quality our customers expect from Kanto Audio, together with seamless connectivity.” — Brett Smalley, Kanto Audio.
“Peter Tyson are proud to represent Kanto in the UK & we are nothing short of thrilled to be retailing their latest model. Ren continues to up the game in the desktop speaker space & now further afield, providing a solution that blends your TV & music listening via HDMI ARC.” – Thomas Graham, Head of Category – Audio
Key features
HDMI ARC input. Ren is the first Kanto speaker with an HDMI input. Designed to replace a soundbar, it provides true two-channel stereo separation that a soundbar simply cannot achieve.
Vocal modes. Ren features multi-listening modes that allow you to adjust the sound you hear. Night mode and vocal boost help create a unique listening experience for your setup.
Input options. There are six inputs to cover your digital and analogue needs – HDMI ARC with CEC for seamless TV integration, USB-C to get the best sound from your PC or Mac, Bluetooth 5.3, RCA, optical and 3.5mm mini jack.
Bass management. When a subwoofer is connected, all frequencies below 80hz are automatically sent to the sub- woofer. This feature can be disabled through the remote.
Remote control. Ren’s remote control can swap left and right channels, disable auto-power up and down, dim the LED control light, mute the sub, and adjust the bass and treble.
Colour options. Ren will be launching in 5 colours – Matte Black, Matte White, Matte Grey, Matte Orange and Matte Blue.
Kanto Ren is available from December 2nd at Peter Tyson alongside a range of Kanto Audio speaker stands and the Kanto SUB8 subwoofer.
