Phonar Veritas Match active loudspeakers
Phonar Akustik GmbH, a German company producing loudspeakers for over 50 years, has appointed Abbas Hussain (ex. MD of WireWorld UK) as their representative in the UK. The key products are the recently introduced Veritas Match active loudspeakers featuring the Digital Smart Synthesis (DSS) technology developed by Phonar.
Unlike many of its competitors, the Veritas Match is fully digital (24bit/96kHz) in which the audio signal is processed digitally (32-/48-bit Audio and PWM processing architecture) and delivered to each drive unit in its purest form. Without DACs or conventional amplification!
The speakers can be connected wirelessly to any WiSA-certified product or wired to an existing analogue preamplifier via RCA or XLR connections. For those looking for an all-in-one system, Phonar also offers the Match Air app (Android/IOS) and remote controller with online streaming services, Bluetooth aptX and host of other features.
The Veritas range is also available as conventional passive speakers, namely; the Veritas Next which can be upgraded to the Match and Match Air variants.
Abbas has been working with Phonar as the head of electronic product design and marketing for a number of years, and has been instrumental in developing the proprietary DSS technology utilized in the Veritas Match speakers.
“We are thrilled to introduce Phonar to the UK market,” said the company’s MD, Kai Henningsen. “We believe that our products offer a better alternative by giving more value for money and flexibility compared to bigger brands. Our goal is to provide consumers with products that deliver ‘true’ high-end performance without the extravagant price tags often associated with this market sector.”
Phonar will be available to purchase from Feb ‘24 from selected stores across the UK and online. Prices start at £1,090 for the Veritas Next passive models and £3,000 for the Match active speakers.
