Qobuz at We Out Here festival 2025
Qobuz partners with Gilles Peterson-curated festival to present deep-listening events in high-resolution audio. Qobuz, the high-quality music streaming and download platform, is partnering with We Out Here Festival 2025 as an official sponsor, bringing its focus on great-sounding music to one of the UK’s most culturally rich music events.
Running from 14–17 August at Wimborne St Giles in Dorset, We Out Here is curated by BBC Radio 6 Music DJ Gilles Peterson and celebrates a broad spectrum of genre-blending sounds – from jazz and soul to broken beat, electronic music and global rhythms. Known for its progressive lineup and commitment to independent culture, the event has become a key fixture in the UK’s festival calendar.
Qobuz Hi-Fi Listening Sessions at The Knowledge
As part of its support, Qobuz will host a series of Hi-Fi Listening Sessions at The Knowledge – the festival’s new interactive hub for music technology, education and creative exchange.
Each Qobuz Hi-Fi Listening Session will spotlight an artist from the We Out Here lineup, who will present a hand-picked selection of tracks from the Qobuz catalogue. Played in full, lossless, high-resolution audio on a dedicated system brought in by London hi-fi retail specialists Audio Gold, the sessions invite audiences to listen deeply before joining a live conversation about the inspirations, memories and cultural context behind the music.
Qobuz Hi-Fi Listening Sessions schedule:
Don Letts – Friday, 13:00–14:00
Mia Koden – Friday, 15:30–16:30
BBE Records – Saturday, 13:30–14:30
In addition to the Listening Sessions, Qobuz will support The Knowledge programme with extended free trials of its service. These will also be made available to all performing artists across the weekend.
A word from Dan Mackta of Qobuz “We Out Here brings together one of the most discerning and diverse music communities in the UK – a perfect audience for Qobuz,” said Dan Mackta, Managing Director for North America and Northern Europe at Qobuz. “We’re proud to offer a space where artists and listeners can come together to enjoy music of the highest quality – in every sense.”
Quality and curation
Beyond the music, We Out Here places equal value on quality experiences across the board – from its high-standard food and drink offering, to its arts and cultural programme, wellness areas, family activities, and crisp sound and production. It’s all carefully designed to complement the festival’s thoughtful, quality-led musical curation.
Qobuz is committed to supporting the wider musical community. It champions a diverse range of music – from emerging talent to established names – and works to ensure artists are rewarded fairly for their work. In 2024, Qobuz became the first streaming service to have its average payout rate per stream officially validated, showing returns to artists that are well above typical industry levels.
This exciting new partnership reflects Qobuz’s wider mission to advocate music curation – by people, not algorithms – along with sound quality and artist relationships. With a catalogue of over 100 million tracks in CD-quality and high-resolution audio, alongside engaging editorial content, Qobuz continues to serve music fans who value not just the music but the people behind it, too.
Festival gates open from noon on Thursday, 14 August, with programming running through to Sunday, 17 August.
