Rotel has created a Diamond Series of components to celebrate 60 years since it was established in Tokyo, Japan by founder Mr. Tomoki Tachikawa whose family continue to run the company today.
The Diamond Series consists of DT-6000 DAC transport and RA-6000 integrated amplifier each sharing an engineered, contemporary styling that pays tribute to the brand’s iconic heritage. Both Diamond Series products combine Michi inspired circuit design with high quality bespoke components, putting them at the pinnacle of the current Rotel range.
The DT-6000 DAC transport (£1,999/€2,299/$2,299) has an 8-channel ESS Sabre ES9028PRO digital to analogue converter with mono DACs dedicated to each channel. Including extra capacity at this stage is said to extract nuances of audio with exacting clarity and detail with an exceptionally low noise floor. The DAC feeds custom engineered fully balanced differential output filters tuned for life-like reproduction of the audio.
The DT-6000 is powered by Rotel built shielded toroidal transformer with high efficiency slit foil smoothing capacitors reducing stray emissions and delivering independent, isolated, low noise power to all critical circuits, further reducing noise and distortion. It includes a USB input supporting MQA and DSD audio playback and renders PCM 32-bit/384kHz music files through the coaxial and optical inputs, it also has a tray loading CD mechanism for your silver discs.
The RA-6000 integrated amplifier ( £3,999/€4,499/$4,499) delivers 350 Watts into 4 Ohm (200W/8 Ohm) speaker loads leveraging technical and performance inpu5 from the brand’s flagship Michi series models – especially with regards to circuit design, acoustic component selection and power supply engineering methods – while also further developing the upgrades found in Rotel’s recent MKII models. An array of source inputs ensures connection to modern and legacy audio sources including coaxial (3), optical (3), analogue (3), USB supporting MQA, Bluetooth with aptX HD for high performance wireless streaming, XLR balanced, iOS USB for Apple devices and a moving magnet phono stage for turntables.
The Diamond Series RA-6000 and DT-6000 will be available in black and silver finishes with shipments beginning in July of 2022
