French loudspeaker brand Triangle previewed its upcoming Capella 2 wireless system at the Warsaw audio show over the weekend as successor to its current Capella model.

Benefiting from more than 40 years of acoustic expertise, Capella 2 are high-end active speakers manufactured in France. Featuring a built-in amplifier and the latest wireless streaming technologies, they allow high-resolution streaming in a neat and convenient package.

This new, second-generation features several major developments:

  • A new Stereo Hub 2 equipped with a more powerful ARM Cortex-A53 processor.
  • A new dedicated subwoofer output.
  • An Ethernet port, ensuring a stable network connection.
  • An overall improvement in user ergonomics.

Stereo Hub 2

At the heart of the system, the Stereo Hub 2 network player and transmitter is powered by WiSA technology. WISA provides a completely wireless connection between the speakers, delivering high-resolution audio that is 100% faithful to the original signal, with no perceptible latency.

All sources connect directly to this external hub, allowing free and easy positioning of the speakers, without any cables between them. Such design simplifies installation, provides total flexibility in placement, and ensures seamless integration into any interior.

Triangle‘s Capella 2 features wireless Bluetooth 5.2 and wi-fi connectivity for easy, high-resolution streaming: up to 24-bit / 192 kHz from a smartphone, tablet or computer. Compatible with AirPlay and Chromecast, it lets you send music to the speakers instantly, without any complex setup.

The system also supports Spotify Connect Lossless and Tidal Connect, providing direct and intuitive access to your favourite streaming services with optimal sound quality. For the most demanding users, the Roon Ready certification guarantees audiophile-grade management of music libraries, while the UPnP/DLNA protocol allows simple and stable playback of files stored on a NAS or computer.

Calibration

Capella 2 easily adapts to any room thanks to its automatic calibration system (available through iOS devices or the Zen microphone), which adjusts the sound according to the room’s acoustics. For those seeking even greater personalization, a full equalizer allows fine tuning to individual listening preferences.

Facts & Figures

Capella 2 delivers 100W of power per speaker. Each driver has its own amplifier and digital converter, ensuring precise and independent control of the signal. A digital signal processor (DSP) continuously optimizes driver performance while protecting the components. This design achieves outstanding performance for a system of this size.

The internal structure uses Triangle’s proprietary DVAS (Driver Vibration Absorption System), which significantly reduces cabinet vibrations. The curved cabinet shape combined with the structured silicone trim improves sound wave diffraction.

Capella speakers use the horn tweeter that has been the brand’s trademark for many years, producing a homogeneous sound throughout the listening area. Equipped with a new 25mm magnesium/aluminium alloy dome, this high-output tweeter delivers harmonious highs without the slightest hint of aggressiveness.

Capella mid-woofer features a 165mm (6.5”) driver with a proprietary membrane made of natural cellulose pulp, a true Triangle trademark. Since its creation, the brand has favoured paper- cone drivers because of their colourless reproduction, especially in the vocal range. The driver is equipped with ventilated aluminium chassis and a half-roller suspension made of an assembly of foam and treated rubber. The result is a natural reproduction of vocals and instruments with good openness and a generous, dynamic bass.

Capella 2 will be available in early 2026 in five new finishes: English Green, Oak, Space Black, Astral Blue, and Space White.
