PMC has introduced the most significant re-invention of its main monitor line up at NAMM 2026, the leading pro audio show held recently in Los Angeles. The Main Monitor range has been designed to deliver the exceptional levels of clarity, dynamic performance and artistic expression demanded by the next generation of recording studios, engineers and artists.

Launched to mark the company’s 35th anniversary, the Main Monitors reinforce PMC’s long-standing position as the speaker brand of choice for the world’s most discerning music and movie creators, mix and mastering engineers and domestic music lovers. No other brand can claim to link all elements of the ‘studio to home’ chain in the same manner as PMC, with identically voiced products and an unswerving determination to reproduce the emotional communication of the music, without colouration or compromise.

Oliver Thomas, co-CEO, says “Launching an entirely new main monitor family in our anniversary year is both a celebration and a statement. By rethinking every part of the system and designing the entire platform in-house, we’ve been able to create the next generation of main monitors with a new level of clarity, control and capability that reflect everything we’ve learned over the last 35 years and push the boundaries for speaker performance further than ever before.

“For our audiophile customers, these new models will ensure the music they listen was crafted in the studio with exceptional attention to detail, and the home-based listener can be assured of hearing exactly what the artists and engineers intended when using their PMC domestic speakers.”

True to the company’s holistic approach to speaker design, every aspect of the new models has been developed entirely in-house, to provide absolute control over all elements that make up the whole. At the core of the new designs are PMC’s latest generation of large-format bass drivers, created to work in harmony with an evolved ATL bass-loading system and LaminairX airflow technology. These drivers deliver highly controlled, natural low-frequency reproduction, even at the highest output levels.

A familiar sight in PMC’s domestic models, the midrange dome, has undergone a radical redesign and now incorporates the proprietary a-void absorber. This long, damped acoustic chamber prevents rear-wave reflections from colouring the output, reducing distortion and improving transient accuracy for an exceptionally open and truthful midrange.

High-frequency reproduction is provided by PMC’s hand-built 34mm soft-dome HF driver. With its low-distortion motor assembly, matched dome and shallow waveguide, it offers extended, fatigue-free listening and a natural in-room response — essential for long mixing and mastering sessions.

The new range launches with four models — the PMC10, PMC12, PMC15 and PMC10-4 — each a fully active three-way design based on PMC’s new driver platform and ATL architecture. All can be used as standalone full-range monitors or expanded with matching XBD cabinets, which add a dedicated LF enclosure for increased bass headroom and system scalability. Thanks to consistent dispersion characteristics and shared voicing across the range, models can be combined seamlessly in immersive environments, including Dolby Atmos Music rooms.

The Main Monitor Series is powered by the PMC engineered bespoke DSP and amplification platform, the system36, which is also manufactured in-house. It combines advanced 32-bit DSP crossover processing with 3600W of high‑efficiency amplification, for a truly effortless, dynamic and tightly controlled listening experience. For larger installations and dual-cabinet configurations, the power20 adds a state-of-the-art 2000W Class-D amplifier, to drive the bass units in XBD systems and selected low-frequency sections in the PMC10-4, PMC10-4 XBD and PMC15 XBD.

Prices including electronics start at £31,500 per pair for the PMC10 and run to £145,000 for the PMC10-4 XBD.
